I was born in Fairbanks, AK, raised in Los Angeles, CA, and made Atlanta, GA my home! Some of my hobbies are working out, spending time with family and friends, and binge watch shows on Netflix.

In my undergraduate period, I majored in Exercise Science/Kinesiology, so I can one day get into graduate school for physical therapy. Physical therapy has left a huge impact in my life after I subluxated both my shoulders from collegiate wrestling in high school. I was able to recover from the injuries, surpass my physical limitations, and now I am able to enjoy my daily life. I wanted to help people recover and move forward like how I was able to in the past.

After I graduated from my university, I decided to gain some work experience within the field before applying to graduate school. I had the opportunity of working along with physical, occupational, and integrated therapists in a geriatric population. I worked in a group setting in the morning then worked one-on-one throughout the day with clients on land or water. I primarily focused training on gait, stride, strength, and other limitations. I was able to maintain a positive relationship with each of the them, which motivated me to work harder. However, my mental health took a toll whenever I lost a client from illnesses, or from their health gradually declining. It made me question if I was able to continue forward within this path.

In the end, I made a decision of leaving my job to pursue a new goal. It was a great learning experience after graduating from college, and I am thankful for the opportunity I had there. I worked in a restaurant for the time being, until I had some guidance and support from my family and friends to get into coding. Even though I was primarily focused with kinesiology, I always had interest on how these social platforms or apps were functionally made to work. I had some very basic knowledge with HTML back when MySpace was trending. DigitalCrafts, a coding bootcamp, helped me understand and captivated me to become a software engineer! I started from snipping some lines on a HTML file for a layout to making my own projects and functional apps by working along with teams. I am able to implement and learn more languages and technologies, even with a different background.
